DIR 101: An Introduction to DIR® and DIRFloortime®
K-Taping® therapist for Occupational therapists
Born and raised in Hong Kong, I obtained my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I have a strong passion for working with children and spent two years post-graduation at a non-governmental organization (NGO), providing center- and school-based services to children with special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Developmental Delay, and Sensory Processing Disorder. I firmly believe in the effectiveness of relationship- and evidence-based approaches to enhance children's participation and performance, helping them overcome challenges in both academic and daily life.
As a proactive and compassionate therapist, I value every opportunity for professional growth. I have completed several professional courses and am currently pursuing the Ayres Sensory Integration® certification. My experience as a former athlete has instilled in me essential qualities of courage and perseverance, which I believe are vital in overcoming challenges. I am dedicated to nurturing and maximizing each child's unique potential through engaging and purposeful activities.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua, I am well-equipped to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
